With
its dual commitment to high academic standards and individual
needs, The Good Hope School Upper School (Grades 9 through
12) provides a balance between structure and innovation,
academic excellence, social growth and individual fulfillment.
Our unique college preparatory program challenges and encourages
students through a variety of rigorous academic and extra
curricular programs designed to cultivate curiosity, creativity,
and integrity.
Our college-bound students are supported by a full-time
college counselor who in addition to providing individual
guidance for students and their families coordinates internships
to help students focus their interests, creates opportunities
for students to shadow professionals, and offers skill building
workshops in successful interview strategies, personal finance,
and preparation for college life.
Honors and advanced placement courses, a wide variety of
clubs and elective activities, and athletics at the club,
junior varsity and varsity levels provide our students with
the opportunity for exceptionally well-rounded résumé.
The result: in the last decade 100 percent of Good Hope
School graduates have gone on the college or university.
The Upper School offers:

preparatory level.

Spanish, and Physics.
3. Advanced Placement (AP) classes are offered in art, French,

members raise money during the school year to help support
an HIV/AIDS orphanage in Uganda as part of their mission

Members monitor student concerns, and organize field days
which promote school spirit and cooperation within The Good
Hope School community.

in business ethics and best practices, polishes interviewing
skills, and develops computer proficiencies. Members take
part in an annual inter-island competition with other FBLA
clubs.

and two inter-island competitions held in St. Thomas that
test student knowledge on a wide variety of subjects.
