The Good Hope School has openings in the following areas: Teacher Assistant We are in search of a Teacher’s Assistant for our Early Childhood program. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in the classroom, providing instructional and clerical support. She/he will support the children in learning class material and will provide students with individualized attention. The candidate will also supervise students in the schoolyard and help to prepare materials for instruction. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a solid understanding of child development, and must have experience working with children. She/he should also enjoy working with children of diverse backgrounds and be able to handle classroom situation with fairness, patience, kindness and respect. Upper School Science/Mathematics Teacher We are currently seeking candidates for Upper School science and mathematics. Candidates should possess a strong science background, with teaching experience in chemistry, physics, along with advanced mathematics and the proven ability to help Upper School students reach their full potential. All teaching positions require a B.A. in education and are full-time and begin in August 2010. All Middle and Upper School positions include being a student advisor. All candidates should support the mission of The Good Hope School and be able to contribute to the school community outside the classroom.
