FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: 13 January 2005 SUBJECT: Good Hope School Annual Gala and Auction This Weekend
The annual Good Hope School Gala and Auction will take place this Saturday, January 15, 2005, at 5:00 p.m. at the Good Hope School Campus Center. The theme this year is a "Rodeo Round-Up." All proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund at Good Hope. The Planning Team has included Linda Appleton, Beverly Bartner, Karen Heckman, and Julie Logan. Charleen Nelthropp has led the silent auction; Kris Massicot corralled solicitations; and Jeanne Monokian ran the raffle. Sponsors include Michael and Karla Fennessy, HOVENSA, LLC; Robert and Beverly Bartner; Jim and Kathy Hodge; Francine Whittenberg; Arthur and Linda Appleton; and Marshall and Sterling. Catering, including lots of fresh ribs brought on island especially for this occasion, will be done by Maureen Ross from Anything Goes. Radio personality Roger W. Morgan will be the auctioneer and may perform some rope tricks learned from his childhood of performing in rodeos around the country. Tickets are $125.00 per person and there are still seats available.
