FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: 23 April 2004 SUBJECT: $5000 Merit Scholarships Announced CONTACT: Carole J. Everett, Acting Head of School The Good Hope School is offering two new students entering the Upper School , grades 9-12, a $5000 Merit Scholarship per year for up to four years of their secondary school education. The deadline for applications is May 5, 2004 . Please call Mrs. Eileen Hill , Admissions Coordinator at 772-0022 for an application. Candidates should exhibit academic excellence, strength of character, sound values, and a passion for learning, and will be chosen based on their scholastic records, personal interview, a required essay, and the School's own admission test. Testing will be Saturday, May 8, 2004 , on The Good Hope School campus. The Good Hope School provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum that guides a student's ability to think critically, creatively, independently, and globally. Our outstanding programs in the visual and performing arts, our athletics, comprehensive technology opportunities, and our small classes allow students to gain entrance to the most competitive colleges in America who awarded last year's graduates over one and half million dollars in scholarships.
